Barkham Horror is written by Scott D. and drawn by Golden F. It follows the misadventures of Adrienne Barbara Whippet, a dog who moves to the titular town to meet her long lost father, Towser Brindle. Unfortunately, Towser is away on a mysterious venture overseas, and has left his house, as well as a considerable sum of money, to his daughter. Adrienne sets out to learn more about her father's history, and in doing so comes to befriend some of the town's eccentric residents, including good-natured sheriff Howie Husky, self-styled paranormalists Mark and Sparx, the elderly and mischievous Akitas, troubled teens Junior and Frenchy, helpful pup Benjy T. Rascal, who always seems to be around just when you need him, and many others. There are countless bizarre and dangerous secrets to be found, stirring in the shadows of the streets, alleyways, and basements, like the real reason nobody's seen Doctor Westie's wife in years, or the strange statue in the park that is surrounded by security cameras 24/7, or the identity of the masked dog that's stalking Adrienne's every move. One thing's for sure—it's a dog's life.
SCOTT D. is the creator and writer of Barkham Horror. He lives in Essex with his dog, Ziggy Stardust, and has wanted to be an author as far back as he can remember. He'd like to be the next big name on your children's Christmas list, except he's often so busy with his latest book that he forgets to write! His interests are a bit all over the shop, and include reading superhero comic books, science-fiction, horror, and fantasy, watching old or obscure films and cartoons, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and listening to classic rock and heavy metal music. He cites Roald Dahl, Stephen King, Lord Dunsany, Terry Pratchett, L. Frank Baum, C.S. Lewis, Robert Louis Stephenson, and Gene Roddenberry as some of his favourite authors and influences, and was inspired to write this comic in particular by the television series Twin Peaks and The X-Files, the movie Creepshow, the animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog and Jim Henson's Dog City, as well as Hirohiko Araki's Diamond is Unbreakable, William Hope-Hodgson's Carnacki the Ghost-Finder, and Junji Ito's Uzumakinot to mention some pretty spooky towns he's had the pleasure of visiting for himself!

Favourite Quote: "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." (Roald Dahl, The Minpins)
GOLDEN F. is the artist who draws Barkham Horror. She currently lives in Southern California with her husband, and has plans on one day becoming a professional artist involved in creating animated features and video game assets. While her history is steeped mostly in reading and playing video games, her influences are drawn equally from both fantasy and reality. Her interests include urban exploration, ornithology, literature by authors including Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft, and listening to a mix of rock, heavy metal, classical, and electronic music. Her favourite media tends to tread the line between horror and comedy, such as What We Do in the Shadows, Re-Animator, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Shaun of the Dead, Beetlejuice, and Fright Night. She counts the works of William Burke, Lumpy Touch, Don Bluth, Charles Fleischer, Jhonen Vasquez, Junji Ito, and Tim Burton, as well as games such as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Doom, Dusk, Bioshock, and the original Tomb Raider trilogy, as her major inspirations.

Favourite Quote: "Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humour to console him for what he is." (Francis Bacon)
